Lil Twist And Justin Bieber To Drop Single 'Real Soon'

Lil Twist has spent a long time prepping his Young Money debut Don’t Get It Twisted. The LP which was originally supposed to drop in 2011 has already yielded quite a few singles and many big name features. Lil Wayne appears on the R&B-laced “Love Affair,” 2 Chainz keeps things street on “Do What I Want” and Busta Rhymes trades super quick bars on “Turnt Up.” Twist hasn’t played all of his cards though, the 18-year old MC plans to release his new single with Justin Bieber real soon.
"We're getting ready to drop that record 'Wherever You Are.' Y'all will have that real soon," Lil Twist told MTV News of the high-powered collaboration. "It's a fun record. Justin killed it. He's, like, rap-singing on it; another different sound for Justin."
Twist, who built his fanbase thanks to pop-rap joints like "Little Secret" with Bow Wow and "Love Affair," has been developing a harder edge lately. His recently released video for the Busta Rhymes-assisted "Turnt Up" focuses more on the 18-year old's rap bars rather than his penchant for catchy hooks. His Golden Child mixtape, which he dropped in December, also shows a similar growth. But with "Wherever You Are," Twist just promises a good time.
"It's gonna be great. It's a cool summer record," Twist told MTV News last August. "It's a party song. Straight for the sun. It's a Miami record."

While the record has been in the works for some time, Twist is almost ready to let to go. "Just me and Justin, people been waiting on that," he said of his bond with the Biebs. "That's my brother right there. It's just been a long time coming. Now that we been had the record done, it's time to put it out."

Justin Bieber Shows Off His Free Style Skills In Vegas

Justin Bieber‘s rap skills are more or less like an urban legend — or Santa Claus — no one is willing to believe that the kid can rap until they see it with their own eyes. The Biebs popped into a radio station in the City of Sin recently, where he spit a few quick rhymes at the mic, proving that his skills are as real as the hair on his head.
It seems that Bieber stunned the folks watching in the studio with his quick tongue, rapping to the tune of Biggie’s ‘Who Shot Ya,’ as he spurted words about being lost in life, comparing it to having paper without a pen. Even though the 17-year-old pop icon stumbled over himself mid-way, he managed to bring the flow back fairly quickly, clearly loving the attention from everyone in the room — and those listening at home.
“Life is so short, but we take it for granted,” Bieber ‘sang,’ speaking true words as he hopped back and forth between subjects. With his faith fresh on his mind this holiday season, he even took a moment to freestyle about his religion and how it plays into his uber success. “His hand is on my life and my sin just vanished / My filth washes off quick like her fake tan is / I am growing up quick like a grown man is / I’m gonna be set, so will my great grandkids / Swag,” he rapped into the mic.
Before leaving the station, the DJ asked the ‘Baby’ singer whether he had anything else he wanted to say to his adoring fans. His answer? “Bieber swag”… Whatever that means.
